Hiragana & Katakana Scrabble® Tiles

Adding New Dimension to Language Learning by Appending the Classic

Hiragana and Katakana are the basic Japanese syllabaries of 46 characters. They are used to spell, create grammatical forms and endings, as well as transliterating the Chinese characters kanji, and, in case of katakana - to act as exclamation and to denote foreign sounds.

The idea behind the project was to add the new dimension to the well-known and loved game, to encourage the foreign language practice. Compatible with most Scrabble® boards, the tiles fit perfectly on the board and can be used for both guided vocabulary practice, as well as self-study.

Tiles can be 3d printed at home or sent to a service bureau. Each set includes 90no. 19 x 19 x 4mm tiles with non-repeating characters; sets can also be broken down in the slicer in order to print individual characters.

Hiragana and Katakana Scrabble® Tiles are a part of the project incorporating innovation into the immersive language learning techniques, for teachers and learners alike.

Designed by a qualified Japanese speaker - guaranteed mistake free.
