Study of Metal AM for 3D Printable Tools
Diamond Hole Gauge is a jeweller's tool for weight estimation of brilliant cut full cut diamonds (full cut, 57/58 faces).
It works by directly correlating the weight of the diamond with its diameter at the widest point.
This model delivers a gauge in a handy credit card format, with measuring range between 1/32 ct - 4 ct (⌀ 2mm-11mm).
Part of the study to explore the possible futures of the jeweller’s workshop. The resulting files can be 3D printed on high-accuracy industrial additive systems, or CNC machined.
