ZBrush/ CJP Full Colour 3D Printing/ Hand Finishing Techniques/ Model Making

 

Arty Lobster was an innovative company offering highly customised products from ZBrush-generated geometries and realistic, detailed coloured textures. They were printed in-house on a semi-industrial, full-colour additive system, then assembled and hand-finished to the highest standards.

The process involved the following steps:

  1. Image collection - obtaining quality images from the customer

  2. Creating high-resolution 3D model with colour textures (ZBrush)

  3. Digital Preview & Sign off

  4. Full colour 3D printing (CJP)

  5. Part Cleaning & Infiltration

  6. Hand finishing/ Assembly

  7. Packaging & Despatch

  8. Product Aftercare

Though polymer-infused sandstone/plaster was the main material used, the company offered additional material options, including 3D printed sterling silver and cast bronze.
